2026 D.C.
Another exciting season in our nation’s capital. Creative ways for our veterans to have new baseball experiences.
1st Game, April 8th at the Naval Academy.
VetBaseball red-carpet treatment from the home team, including
scoreboard welcome, seating by the field, and a special greeting by Navy players, who shook hands with our veterans to thank them for their service.
2nd Game, May 7th.
Nats v Twins
Pre-game chow time for the Veterans from AFRH-W D.C. The skies cleared in time for the 1st pitch, where it was another victory for Vetbaseball DC, 7-5 Nats!
With special seating to accomodate wheelchairs, our guests enjoyed great views, and the cameraderie reserved for those who served.
Games 3 & 4: June 17 and July 21st at Prince George’s Stadium, home of the Chesapeake Bay Sox, AA affiliate of the Baltimore O’s.
The Baysox really rolled out the red carpet for our veterans, providing us with catered meals in a club room overlooking the first base side of the stadium; scoreboard welcomes; and, very kindly, invited one of our veterans to throw out the first pitch at each game.
From all the feedback we’ve received from participants, this was a great year for the D.C. Chapter. We were able to accomplish all this because of the strong support we received from VetBaseball Chairman and Founder Alan Duretz; the amazing advisory board for the D.C. Chapter; and the tremendous support from friends and family.
A big thank you to all!!!
We expect many of the same experiences and venues for 2027, and just can’t wait for the season to start!!!
